Ecosystems: producers and consumers
Questions about producers and consumers
Q. How does energy flow through an ecosystem?
A. Organisms can be either producers or consumers in term of energy flow through an ecosystem producer covert energy from the environment into carbon bonds such as those found in the sugar glucose.
Q. What kind of ecosystems are there
A. The aquatic biomes: Aquatic biomes are grouped into two ,
freshwater biomes (lakes, ponds, rivers, streams, and wetlands.) marine biomes (oceans, coral, reefs, and estuaries ) The grasslands biomes; There are two main types of grasslands and the temperate grasslands.
Q. Why do all ecosystems depend on producers?
A. If there wasn't producers there would not be any source of food for them, then they would die of hunger, this will cause a food cricis for other consumers and they would either migrate or die. In such a way the whole ecosystem will collapse. So an ecosystem can not exist without producers.
Q. What roles do producers and consumers play in the carbon cycle?
A. Producers take in the carbon and then release oxygen as their waste, which consumers breathe in and out and then we release carbon as a waste.
Q. Why do consumers depend on producers?
A. Consumers depend on the producers cause producer produce food for consumers.
Ex: A cow depends on grass so the cow could eat & humans depend on cows & other meat such as chicken & lamb so that we can eat.

why we like this topic
I like this topic because its a fun topic to learn about. Its fun because you get to learn about basically animals and how they live how the y live and adapt to other environments. Approximately 5 million tons of oil produced in the world each year ends up in the ocean. At the third tropic level there is secondary consumers second order consumers are animals that can eat other animals which are called Carnivores. Lastly some animals eat both animals and plants which are called Omnivores. Producers are plants plants are called producers cause they make their own food inside themselves. Its just fun to hear about all the animals a producers and consumers. Knowing that the animals are safe in there environment is just a good feeling to have. The consumer pyramid is cool to because you get to see which animals goes where and what they eat. Also consumers are all important parts of ecosystems they’re animals and they get all energy from the producers or organisms that can eat producers. This topic is so fun so if you have a chance to learn on this subject doo it.
