Nuclear Energy
Nuclear Energy is often considered one of the best energy sources we have, and also the most dangerous. We chose this energy source because it is a great energy source in terms of efficiency, environmentally, and economically.
Nuclear energy is used in one main way: Power. Nuclear Reactors are what provide us with Nuclear power, they have many parts and require very precise management to work properly. Nuclear Fission (a type of reaction) is the kind of reaction that we are able to do (other ways are either unable to be duplicated or experimental) and involves the splitting of an atom.

Why We Chose Nuclear Energy
We chose nuclear energy mainly because it was both of our favorite topics that we enjoyed over the other topics. Also it was a very interesting topic to learn about because of how explosive the reactors are. Also it was a very easy topic to learn about because the stuff we were learning we liked. Also we knew a lot about this topic witch made us lean toward picking this as our favorite. Also I really liked the symbol.

Eye-opening Fact. |
Despite how it may seem, a nuclear explosion is not nuclear energy, but a combination of Thermal, Mechanical and Kinetic energy. The reason people consider this to be a nuclear energy making process is because the explosion is caused by a chain reaction set off by splitting an atom, but that's where the Nuclear part of it ends.

North Carolina is considered one of the most likely place to be attacked by terrorists due to the abundance of Nuclear reactors in the state. However, should a meltdown occur or a terrorist attack happen, safety precautions are in place to ensure safety of all civilians, reactor personnel. and first responders.
