Organisms in Ecosystems
By K. Bailey and N. Evans
Ecosystems Everything in the earth is alike .An ecosystem is a community of living and non-living things that work together. Ecosystems are not the same size. An ecosystem can be as large as the ocean or as small as a puddle. The water temperature, plants, animals, light soild and air all work together. If there is not enough waterr or light or if the soil doesn't have the right nutrients, it will die. If it dies , animals that live off of them will die. If the animals that depend on the plants die, any animals that depend on those animals will die. Ecosystems in nature work the same way. All the parts work together to make a system.
Summary of our topic
The summary of our topic is about organisms and how they live. Some organisms have to move or adapt to their new habitat. Some organisms can die because they cant adapt fast enough. Organisms have all sorts of animals and plants. But they have to have 5 basic needs to live. They include... air, place to live, water and energy. But some organisms don't even need to breath air at all. I personally think organism that don't have to breath air are the coolest organisms. A organism consist of one or more cells. We have researched about ecosystems and organisms. Any living thing is an organism. Even you! Isn't that amazing?! Your a breathing , walking , living organism. We also wrote about ecosystems. We wrote about how ecosystems are a community of living and not living things. Ecosystems can be big, small, medium, etc. There are special essential abiotic components of an ecosystem. They include... energy, water, nitrogen and soil minerals. Ecosystems are controlled by external and internal factors. |
Organisms An organism is a living thing. It is easy to recognize a living thing . Animals and plants are organisms, obviously. Organisms are biotic, or living, part of the environment. Rocks and sunshine are parts of the non-living.
Organisms usually have five basic needs. They need air ,water, food, energy and a place to live. but not all living things need all these at the same moment Many organisms do not need to breath air at all. |
